Support and Services
for your Family

Supporting children and families through safe, nurturing play therapy in Swan Hill.

What does my child’s behaviour mean?

I’m uncertain about how my child is developing.

I just don’t know what’s next since learning about a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.

What even is a neurodivergent brain?

Understanding Play Therapy

Play therapy works in a similar way to counselling for adults, but instead of using words, children use play to express themselves.

Children don’t always have the language to explain what they are feeling. Through toys, creativity and imagination, they are able to safely explore emotions, process experiences and make sense of their world.

Sessions are child-led and tailored to each child’s individual needs. This allows children to move at their own pace, building trust, emotional awareness and confidence over time.

Play therapy is not about forcing change. It is about understanding your child, supporting their emotional development and helping them feel safe, seen and heard.

All emotions are welcome here.

How I Can Support Your Child and Family

Child-Centered Play Therapy

Children aged 2-12 are supported to explore their emotions, connect these to their body, and use play to process their experiences.

Here they will develop more effective strategies for managing their world.

Teen Therapy

Don’t think play isn’t for teens 😉

Teens aged 13-17 are more receptive when they are engaging in relaxed, comfortable activities where opportunities for more organic conversations can naturally occur.

Through the use of games, art and play, it is an opportunity to navigate their thoughts and feelings that otherwise are hard to find the words for.

Parent/Carer Support

We work together to share and understand your concerns, gather your child’s interests and needs, and plan clear, step by step strategies.

Our focus is building a secure, attachment based relationship and a deeper understanding of your child’s behaviours, helping them thrive emotionally, socially and mentally.

With support, understanding and engagement at every step, our work is meaningful and effective.

What to Expect

Sessions provide a safe and supportive space where children can explore feelings, express themselves and build emotional awareness.

Children do not need to arrive calm or ready.
All emotions are welcome.

Depending on your child’s needs, sessions may begin in person, with the option to transition to telehealth if appropriate.
